Susur kali atau parit adalah kegiatan yang tampaknya sering sekali dilakukan dalam latihan pramuka. Selain itu, yang paling sering ada makan satu permen yang digilir untuk diemut oleh semua peserta. Selain hal tersebut dianggap jijik, jelas juga kotor. Berendam di dalam lumpur ini sering dilakukan dengan dalih agar menyatu dengan alam. Padahal, kegiatan ini juga tak kalah bisa menyebabkan berbagai macam virus penyakit menghampiri. Berendam di dalam lumpur ini biasanya masuk dalam rangkaian camping survival, agar mampu bertahan di saat sulit sekalipun. Namun, kadang tindakan seperti ini berlebihan, ditambah lagi kalau protes, akan mendapat hujatan dari para senior.

Buntut masalah dari semua tindakan kurang berguna di atas adalah kekerasan secara fisik maupun verbal. Ada gap besar antara para senior dan juga junior dalam kegiatan ini. Karena merasa lebih superior dan tingkat kelas lebih tinggi, para kakak Pembina pramuka tak segan untuk berkata kasar, menggunakan kekerasan fisik dan menghukum anggota pramuka yang dianggap tak melakukan apa yang diperintahkan. “zaman kakak dulu lebih parah dari ini dek,” udah kata pamungkas banget sih ini.
